All About The Coffee
Our roaster Tim has been firing on all cylinders to continue bringing you the best coffee you’ve ever had. Sumatra is in stock, along with an amazing organic Panama varietal. Our ever popular African coffees have been exceptional this season including Tanzanian Peaberry, Ethiopian Harrar and Yrgacheffe. And we always have numerous varieties of decaf that taste nothing like the decaf you’ve had in the past (unless you’ve had it here).
We have new blackboards around the cafe that tell you in bright and bold words what coffees we have by the pound, what we’re roasting, when we’re roasting it, and where it’s from. How much more information could you ask for?
Starting in a few weeks we will be hosting classes where our ever-present roaster Tim will teach the finer points of coffee tasting (think wine tasting but with less hangover and more spitting). We will soon have a section designated for single cup brewing where you will be able to try any coffee we have roasted in numerous ways, including pour over’s and French press style.

Coffee Tasting Event
As part of our commitment to excellence in coffee, Coffee Works Roastery and Café adheres to brewing guidelines and standards as delineated through the Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA) and we are always looking for ways to improve the cup quality in the coffee we serve and sell to our customers. To this end, a representative from our equipment partner FETCO will support a special coffee tasting at Coffee Works Roastery Ritz Center location on Tuesday March 1st, 1:30 to 3:30 PM.
We will be trying a number of different coffees brewed in alternative ways with the goal of determining which brewing parameters bring out the best roast profile for our coffees from different growing regions. If you want to hang out with us for this special coffee tasting, please come on out on Tuesday afternoon and help by providing your opinion of which brewing method is best for the coffees we taste. We will also be pairing the coffees with a sampling of desserts to learn more of how to bring out the best in food to coffee pairings. If you have any questions, please contact Wade 609-820-2393.

Grand Opening 1/29/11
The community is invited to discover the New Coffee Works Cafe first-hand at the Grand Opening event Saturday, January 29 from 2 p.m. – 5 p.m., highlighted by a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony with Voorhees Mayor Michael Mignogna.
The Grand Opening event will feature live music by acoustic guitarist and vocalist David Falcone; free giveaways and complimentary refreshments including fresh roasted coffee, hot chocolate, smoothies and homemade kettle corn. Also, the first 100 customers will receive a $5 Coffee Works Cafe gift card.

Coffee Of The Month- Colombian
Colombian Coffee Beans are grown at high altitudes and tended with painstaking care in the shade of banana and rubber trees. Well grown and properly processed Colombian coffee is among the best in the world rich, full-bodied, and perfectly balanced.
The arid mountains and the well-drained, rich volcanic soil of Colombia provide ideal conditions for growing high quality coffee.
Colombian Coffees are grown in two main regions, the central region around Medellin, Armenia and Manizales, known as MAM to aficionados, and the eastern, more mountainous region near Bogotá and Bucaramanga. MAM varieties are known for their heavy body, rich flavor and fine, balanced acidity while the mountain grown eastern beans produce an even richer, heavier, less acidic coffee. The finest coffee comes from this region.
